
The Chattahoochee Valley Educational Foundation was incorporated as a nonprofit corporation in Chambers County, Alabama, on November 11, 1967. The organization and operation of Springwood School has been the only function of the foundation.

There is also a butterfly garden maintained by grade six and a vegetable garden maintained by grade four. A gym patio was completed in 2006.
