History, Mission, and Beliefs
The Chattahoochee Valley Educational Foundation was incorporated as a nonprofit corporation in Chambers County, Alabama, on November 11, 1967. The organization and operation of Springwood School has been the only function of the foundation.

History of Buildings and Grounds

  • Elementary building opens 1970
  • Gymnasium added 1971

  • Kindergarten 1974

  • Fine Arts Center 1984

  • Child Development Center 1998
  • Founders Fields 2001

Future Plans

  1. High School addition
  2. Reconfigure traffic flow, parking, and pick up/drop off
  3. Fieldhouse
  4. Band building
  5. Soccer field and track
  6. Landscape improvements (courtyard, gym patio, etc.)
  7. Long term plans for tennis courts, amphitheatre, etc.

There is also a butterfly garden maintained by grade six and a vegetable garden maintained by grade four. A gym patio was completed in 2006.
