Sportsmanship, teamwork and fair play are valuable life lessons that Springwood's athletic program endorses. As in any school, an athletic program is only as strong as the people who support it. At Springwood, the athletic program is one of the best in the AISA.  Springwood teams have won multiple state championships in almost all of the competitive programs.  A wide variety of physical activities  are offered to students. The many options include football, baseball, softball, basketball, tennis, golf, soccer, cross country, cheerleading, and dance team. To be eligible to participate in an athletic competition, the student must first concentrate on their academic standing.

Springwood has one of the best overall athletic facilities in the state.  On campus there is a football stadium, full size gymnasium and state of the art baseball and softball fields. There is also convenient and ample parking as well as concessions for all events.

A phenomenal number of our students have been selected for All-Region and All-State teams, and have participated in statewide competition as well as receiving college athletic scholarships.  The successful athletic program is due to enthusiastic students, dedicated coaches and supportive parents, faculty and administration. Many parents, friends and corporations generously contribute to build and maintain these valuable assets.
