Dear Springwood Families,
Wildcat Workday was a resounding success thanks to the hard work of Development Director, Ann Hixon, and the many students, teachers, and parents who participated. Springwood School provided over 1200 hours of community service throughout the morning and raised pledges and business sponsorships in excess of $26,000.00.
It was indeed impressive to travel around the community and see Springwood students, dressed in their Wildcat Workday t-shirt, hard at work. Visiting nursing homes, planting gardens, landscaping local parks, washing law enforcement vehicles, painting city signs, building homes, refurbishing a local graveyard, clearing a hiking trail, and numerous other projects provided opportunities for students and faculty to express pride in their community and give back to the local area.
When the Springwood family pulls together for a project, the sky is the limit!
