The library/media center at Springwood School is centrally located on campus. The collection houses approximately 12,000 volumes. The collection information is online and there are two search stations. In the center there are also computer workstations available for research and word processing. The center is also adjacent to two computer labs.
The library/media center staff maintains a flexible use schedule to allow for many activities to occur at the same time in the center. When you visit you may see students working at the computers, classes of students checking out reading materials, individual students studying or students listening to a story-telling event. The library/media center staff is committed to developing a center that will be a place for student academic growth and development within the school.
Current plans for the library/media center include an extensive renovation project and the development of improved spaces for online research. Plans also are being developed to include conference/study areas. Additional work is being done to secure online access to the collection database.
