Art and Theater Camp is open to children ages 5-12.
Here is your artistic students chance to participate in a four day fun-filled experience. In Art from A to Z including one on one instruction on how to learn the basics through hands-on projects. Imagine, being given the instruction on how to change a doodle into a masterpiece, a lump of clay into a priceless sculpture or simply how to draw and paint a field of wildflowers. Each art project focuses on developing creativity and showing how fun and exciting art can be! The activities include traditional painting, sculpting, creating recycled art, watercolor water gun painting, and games.
The Theater camp at Springwood is design to prepare your theatrical student through instruction with acting to set design, costume design to stage management. Our mini-production provides hands on training for future Thespians, directors, or those who just enjoy being behind the scenes. The show cannot go on unless talented personnel are there to provide the acting, the costumes, the backdrops, the lighting, the music and the stage management. Is there a shy Bob Fosse or another Susan Stroman hiding in our midst? Here’s your chance to shine!
Cheer Camp is open to rising 1st-6th grade students.
Cheer Camp is a great way to improve your basic cheerleading skills. Campers will be led by the Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleaders. Campers will learn motions, jump technique, cheers, and dances. On the last day of camp, there will be a special performance for parents.
Come work with the Springwood School football program! This three day camp gives your child the opportunity to work with Springwood School’s Head Football Coach. Camp members will gain skills and plays that provide new comers to football the opportunity to learn fundamentals and the veterans improve their skills.
With drills at every position on offense and defense the overall goal is to learn the finer points of football and to have fun. The Springwood School Football Camp is always evolving and exploring ways to enhance our youth’s experience. You are in for a great time of learning and fun at our Football Camp!
The camp will be held at the Springwood football field. We will begin each day in the stands at Wildcat Stadium.
The Softball Camp is a great way for your child to learn the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, base running, throwing, and catching. We will also focus on creating an environment that promotes great attitudes that will lead to making better leaders on and off the softball field.
The overall goal of the camp is to learn fundamentals of the game, learn the importance of good sportsmanship, and have fun.
Over the past 25 years Challenger Sports’ vast army of International coaches have helped hundreds of thousands of boys and girls learn, improve, master, and fall in love with the sport of soccer. The British Soccer Camp program will contain Challenger’s own brand of innovative practice, coached games, camp world cup, cultural education, character building, and Fun!
These professionally coached sessions typically include: Individual Foot Skills, Fakes, Moves and Turns, Freestyle Soccer, Technical & Tactical Instruction, Small-Sided Games, Daily World Cup Style Tournament, and Fantastic Cultural Experiences.
Wildcat Basketball Camp is open to boys and girls rising grades 1-9.
The focus of this camp is more than just teaching the game of basketball. It includes building and working with students on self-esteem, communication, team play, work ethic, positive attitude, and of course, basketball fundamentals.
The staff do their very best to provide a positive and competitive camp experience for each camper. Campers will work with members of the Varsity Boys Basketball Coaching Staff and returning members of our varsity team. The staff arrives each day with a positive and encouraging attitude. The belief is that if each camper and each staff member has a great attitude and work ethic that this camp will be a blessing to all involved.
Wildcat Basketball Camp will be located on the campus of Springwood School at the Larry Boswell Gymnasium.
Springwood School reserves the right to cancel any portion of a summer program in case of unforeseen circumstances. Refunds will be issued. No refunds will be given for missed days during a session period. To meet planning needs, after the camp deadline, no refunds will be given for withdrawals from a camp unless there are documented extenuating circumstances. However, if your plans change, you may transfer your student from one camp to another up to two weeks prior to the first day of camp. Please contact the coordinator of each camp if you have questions, concerns or changes.
