Tuition alone does not cover the cost of operation for most independent schools. Springwood is no exception. As a private institution Springwood School receives no public funding. Rather, the school relies on the interest generated by the endowment fund and donations from families, alumni, grandparents, and friends of the school to bridge the gap between tuition revenue and actual cost of operations. In order to maintain its competitive edge against other private and public institutions in the area, Springwood needs and appreciates the many private donations it receives.
