Athletics Overview

The athletic program at Springwood provides student-athletes multiple opportunities at the varsity, junior varsity, and elementary level. Statistically, about 80% of the students in Grades 7-12 participate in the athletic program.

As a member of the Alabama Independent School Association (AISA), the Springwood Wildcats compete for state and region titles on a consistent basis and are supported by the school’s commitment to quality programs.

An emphasis on discipline, character training, quality sport instruction, encouragement, and playing for the Audience of One consistently produces the desired results. Historically, Springwood has won multiple state championships in several sports. In addition, individual student-athletes have earned All-State and All-Region honors as well as receiving numerous college athletic scholarships.

Springwood’s athletic program is funded, in part, through a dynamic partnership with the Springwood Athletic Club. Through this partnership the needs of each sport program are met.
